It is now well into June, and the fishing continues to excite!
Northwest winds have pushed bait inshore, and the salmon have followed. The size of the Chinook salmon continues to increase with several beautiful hogs being caught and released. Whole herring, cut plugs and anchovies have all got some attention from the bell ringers this week. The increased number of epic battles with the mighty King salmon, paired with the grand entrance of Coho has made for some unforgettable days of fishing.
The topside of our fishing grounds has been particularly productive for Chinook as of late with Green Point, Eagle Rock and Klash all providing their fair share of quality fish. Meanwhile, the drift from Shag Rock down past Cape Naden had begun to prove capable of uncovering a Coho or three. And of course, it is always good fun to drop some gear down at one of the pinnacles and see what creature from the deep you can pull up!
Tight lines!
