Well folks, welcome back to another Kingfisher Report from QCL!
This past trip marks the official halfway point of the 2025 season, and things are rolling along just as expected.
Larger Chinooks are being found inshore at the main points, while Coho mixed with smaller Chinook offshore are making for exciting days all around, including a beautiful 45-pounder at B2! Nice fish, One-fourteen!
Bottom fishing continues to deliver, as always. Topping up the card with some white meat remains a crowd favourite.
Even with the South and Southeast winds blowing through and rain coming down over the past few trips, the fleet still managed to do what we do best.
We’re all fired up to see those Northwest winds returning, and coming in heavy. With 30 knots out of the NW starting mid-week, we’re all waiting to see what gets pushed into the grounds.
Looking forward to seeing you all up here. Good luck to everyone coming in!
QCL Lead Guide, Jake H.
