The Northwest winds last week pushed in plenty of bait, and we all know what follows that! With the winds settling down, we were able to get back on our favourite points, where big fish have been caught across the grounds.
Notable Chinook salmon have been coming from Klash, Parker Point, and Cape Naden, along with productive fishing throughout the rest of the grounds. Both herring and anchovies have been doing an excellent job of tempting the black lips. Coho continue to build in consistency, showing the aggressive behaviour we’ve been excited to see.

More success with the white gums has been found around the Pinnacles and west of Shipwreck. Halibut fishing has been a blast, with some impressive fish mixed in among the onslaught of ping pong paddles. Lingcod continue to reward anglers who are in the right place at the right time, with some true guardians of the rocks making their way back to the dock most days.
The rest of the season is shaping up to be another great one!
